Mrs. Madhvi Khimji Biography

Khimji grew up in Africa surrounded by the flowers and fauna of her father’s garden, which led her to her passion in the 80’s for expression through flower arrangement when she began attending flower shows internationally. In 2002 she visited the World Association of Floral Artists (WAFA) flower show in Glasgow and it opened her mind to the endless possibilities of flower arrangement with a special modern twist. This led her to completing a course with the National Alliance Floral Association (NAFA). Khimji then brought her new experience and knowledge of the art of flowers back to the Sultanate of Oman where she began a group, The Art of Flowers Oman. She began to demonstrate flower arranging in Oman and taught her shared passion with an audience that has grown extensively over the years, popularizing flower arranging in Oman. Khimji’s group went on to become affiliated with the World Association of Floral Artists (WAFA) in 2009 and later the World Flower Council in 2017.

Khimji has gone on to attend flower shows, conferences and exhibited in countries all over the world, including the U.K., Japan, India, Pakistan, Itlay, Australia, Barbados, Ireland, China and the U.S.A. Extending her knowledge over the years, Khimji began to invite esteemed flower artists to Oman to share their techniques with her group, The Art of Flowers Oman. These students have gone on to win many prizes in international shows. Khimji has gone on to representing Oman internationally in flower shows globally as an artist and a judge on the World Flower Council.
