Al Mouj Muscat hosts the prestigious IKA Formula Kite World Championships 2017

Al Mouj Muscat hosted the prestigious IKA Formula Kite World Championships 2017 at Al Mouj community beach during November 19 to 24. The Championship was officially opened under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Abdulmunim bin Mansour Al Hasani, Minister of Information in the attendance of His Excellency Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mahrizi, Minister of Tourism and Nasser bin Masoud Al Sheibani, CEO of Al Mouj Muscat at Al Mouj Marina.

Leading kite racing world champions from across the world participated and contended for the top slot. In all 58 competitors— 6 of them women—from 22 countries and 6 continents, contested in the keenly fought competition that was organized by Oman Sail and in association with Al Mouj Muscat. The Championships received an enthusiastic response from Al Mouj residents and visitors. The dramatic battles’ week resulted in Nico Parlier, France, and Daniela Moroz, USA, crowned as Formula Kite World Champions in Oman.
